1. Sehen Sie sich den Weihnachtsbaum im Rockefeller Center an
Einer der berühmtesten beleuchteten Weihnachtsbäume der Welt steht im Herzen des Rockefeller Centers und ist mit Sicherheit ein Punkt, den Sie auf Ihrer New Yorker Weihnachtsliste abhaken sollten. Der riesige Weihnachtsbaum wird normalerweise Anfang November in die Stadt importiert und Ende November im Rahmen einer Zeremonie beleuchtet! Im Durchschnitt leuchten rund 50.000 mehrfarbige LED-Lichter, die während der Weihnachtszeit täglich auf dem Rockefeller Plaza stehen.

2. Einkaufen im Bryant Park’s Winter Village
Der Bryant Park ist der ideale Ort für die Weihnachtszeit in NYC! Dieser Weihnachtsmarkt beherbergt mehr als 180 Anbieter, die Lebensmittel und Geschenke verkaufen, sowie eine kultige (kostenlose) Eisbahn, ein eislosen Curling-Erlebnisniedliche Hütten, ein Café und vieles mehr! Es ist der perfekte Ort, um ein paar Stunden zu schlendern und die weihnachtlichen Sehenswürdigkeiten und Klänge zu genießen!

3. Lassen Sie sich von den Dyker Heights Weihnachtslichtern blenden
Die Dyker Heights Christmas Lights sind eine Sammlung von extravaganten und schillernden Weihnachtslichtern im Dyker Heights-Viertel in Brooklyn. Normalerweise können Besucher zwischen dem Wochenende nach Thanksgiving und dem Silvesterabend durch die Gegend schlendern (oder eine kostenpflichtige Tour machen), um die unglaubliche Tradition zu bewundern, die seit mehr als 30 Jahren stattfindet und sich über drei Avenues und mehrere Straßen erstreckt.

Die jährliche Holiday Train Show findet ab dem 16. November wieder im New York Botanical Garden statt! 5. Schlittschuhlaufen
Nichts ist so typisch für den Winter (und die Weihnachtszeit) wie ein Besuch auf der Eisbahn! Die Wollman-Eisbahn ist eine feste Größe im Central Park, die Eisbahn am Rockefeller Center befindet sich in der Nähe des berühmten Baums, und die Eisbahn im Bryant Park befindet sich in einem Weihnachtsmarkt! Eine der größten Weihnachtsshows von New York City, das Radio City Christmas Spectacular, wird ab dem 8. November wieder zu sehen sein. 14. Schlürfen Sie einen Glühwein im den Iglus der City Winery im Rockefeller Center
Wenn Sie schon einmal in Chicago waren, kennen Sie wahrscheinlich die Iglus der City Winery entlang des ruhigen Riverwalk. Inzwischen ist es auch in New York eine Tradition, dass die City Winery ihre Iglus in der Weihnachtszeit auf dem Rockefeller Plaza aufstellt!
