And so the wintry holiday madness begins!
As of today (Monday, November 16) Central Park’s Wollman Rink has joined the Bryant Park Ice Rink in opening early for the season. Located at 59th Street and 6th Avenue, the rink has been around since 1949! Now open daily to the public until early 2021, the rink will also offer private sessions and classes like figure skating and ice dance.
The Wollman Rink will be open from 10am until 2:30pm on Mondays and Tuesdays; 10am until 10pm on Wednesdays through Saturdays; and from 10am until 9pm on Sundays. However, as Christmas approaches the hours will get longer (you can check them out here).
And of course, there are plenty of safety measures in place for COVID-19, including but not limited to: requirement of face coverings, temperature checks upon arrival, sanitizer stations, and more. You can read additional details.
All are welcome to hit the ice for $12 per person (adults), and skates will be available to rent for $10 (all cash only)!
