The Rockefeller Center Ice Rink is gearing up for its 2024 opening, and if you can believe it, it opens tomorrow. (Have you practiced that triple axel yet?)
The calendar might indicate that it’s spooky season — allow our fall bucket list to be your guide — but now that there’s a slight chill in the air and the legendary Midtown spot will soon welcome visitors, we can’t help but fast forward to the holidays.
Regardless if you’re reveling in all things creepy and kooky, or if you’re already dreaming about the most wonderful time of the year, we can all agree that gliding around this rink is an unmatched NYC experience.
All about the Rockefeller Center Ice Rink 2024 opening
According to the Rockefeller Center website, the Rink will officially open on October 12th, nine days earlier than it did last year. (This is very convenient news, considering our skills are a little rusty.)
One of the most iconic ice skating rinks in NYC has plenty to offer, no matter what you’re searching for this season:
- General Skate ($21-$114): This general admission ticket grants you an hour of skate time
- Premium Skate ($47-$205): This ticket allows for an extended time of 90 minutes on the ice, plus complimentary rentals, and 20% off at the gift shop
- Season Passes ($550-$600): This grants visitors ice time all throughout the season
You can book your visits now, but do keep in mind that all tickets purchases are final sale and cannot be refunded or rescheduled, according to the venue. You should also note that you must arrive 15 minutes prior to your session time and dress appropriately for outdoor conditions.
As for the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, another iconic Midtown tradition, details are still TBD, but as soon as we learn more, you’ll be the first to know. In the meantime, we’re lacing up our skates.
Psst: While you’re in the Rockefeller Center area, be sure to check out Jimmy Fallon’s Tonightmares, a new Halloween experience worth screaming about.
