This year, the Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park will open a bit earlier than usual.
New Yorkers can handle ice rinks opening up in the fall, but can they handle Christmas before Halloween?! On October 27, when the clock strikes noon, the winter village at Bryant Park will open to the public. The wonderland will feature over 170 holiday shops, a pop-up rinkside food hall, and a 17,000-foot free ice skating rink as the centerpiece. (You’ll only have to pay to rent skates if you don’t already have, which costs $20). Above the ice rink will be an observation deck, or “Overlook,” on the second floor of the skating pavilion. You can enter the deck for free and enjoy various games and art supplies as you warm up while looking out at the rink below.
The new pop-up rinkside food hall, called “The Lodge,” will include a bar, outdoor beer garden, a S’Mores Bar by Squish, Chimney Cakes by Stackery, and eateries like Mah-Ze-Dahr, Pierogi Boys, Good Stock, and Today Bros among other dining options! The open-air market itself will also have new vendors and eateries as well.
The rink will open on October 27 at noon, but will be open from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. throughout the season. The Holiday Shops will be open from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. on weekdays, and from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
