Brookfield Place (BFPL) is your go-to spot for holiday activities and shopping, from enjoying freebies to live music to Selfies with Santa for the kids. This year’s theme of holiday activities is Holiday Under the Palms, complete with fun holiday events with a tropical twist! The complex is located at 230 Vesey Street in Lower Manhattan, along the waterfront.
Until Jan. 3rd, explore Santa’s Sandcastle, the ultimate holiday backdrop with palm trees and island vibes! From Dec. 9th-15th at 11:30 a.m. BFPL will also have 7 days of giveaways at the Winter Garden (Level 2). Prizes will be tropical-inspired holiday items.
You can’t miss the returning Hanukkah celebration at Brookfield Place on Dec. 17! Enjoy layers of art, music, and community. Get some art therapy with Tova Speter, where you can create a mini candle holder to share the warmth with others this season. What better way to celebrate Hanukkah?
Santa Claus will also be in the house! Until Dec. 24, kids, pets, and adults can snap photos with jolly Ol’ St. Nick himself. There will be crafts, candy canes, and lots of holiday cheer. Check out the schedule here for more information on available dates and times.
After a busy morning of working or shopping, every Tuesday throughout December, you can unwind during your lunch break with a limited concert series called Holiday Harmonies! There’s also complimentary Hot Chocolate Tuesdays when you spend $25 at Brookfield.
If you want something a little stronger than hot chocolate, unwind at the Tropical Holiday Cocktail Crawl for a quick getaway filled with warmth. Participating restaurants and bars will create drinks inspired by the Holiday Under the Palms theme. Purchase two of these tropical drinks, head to the concierge with proof of purchase, and snag an “At Home Cocktail Kit”!
Of course, the BFPL ice rink is also open right on the Waterfront Plaza! Public skating is available, but there are also private lessons, an introduction to hockey for kids, and much more. You have until March to enjoy the ice and the stellar views!
