In den letzten Jahren sind Restaurants, die diese köstlichen, luftigen Pfannkuchen servieren, immer mehr aufgetaucht. Die großen Soufflé-Pfannkuchen sind so heiß begehrt, dass die Leute, als Taiyaki sie zum ersten Mal servierte, bei eisigen Temperaturen über zwei Stunden lang Schlange standen, um die wolkigen Kreationen zu probieren!

1. Taiyaki, Chinatown
Im Jahr 2019 kündigte Taiyaki an, dass sie Soufflé-Pfannkuchen nach japanischer Art in ihre Wochenendkarte aufnehmen würden. Diese Soufflé-Pfannkuchen gibt es nur am Wochenende, und so ist es nicht verwunderlich, dass sich lange Schlangen von Menschen bilden, die versuchen, diese köstlichen Kuchen zu ergattern.
Man findet sie samstags und sonntags von 11 bis 14 Uhr in Chinatown.

2. Flipper’s, SoHo
Bekannt für ihre einzigartigen Soufflé-Pfannkuchen, die ohne eine Form hergestellt werden, wurden diese luftigen Kreationen wegen ihrer feuchten Textur und der weichen Ränder, die durch das ständige Wenden dieser luftigen Kuchen in der Pfanne entstehen, als „Miracle Pancakes“ bezeichnet.
Die Miracle Pancakes können mit den frisch zubereiteten Cremes des Cafés (Geschmacksrichtungen Ahorn, Erdbeere und Matcha) serviert werden. Flipper’s macht sogar einen Eier Benedict mit den Soufflé-Pfannkuchen als Grundlage!

3. Hi-Collar, East Village
Dieses japanische Café hat viele bemerkenswerte Qualitäten, eine davon sind seine Soufflé-Pfannkuchen. Hi-Collar ist einer der ersten (wenn nicht der erste) Orte in der Stadt, der diese wolkenähnlichen Kuchen anbietet.
Auf der Speisekarte werden sie als „Hot Cakes“ bezeichnet und mit einer Spezialbutter und beliebigen Belägen (wie Bananen, Erdbeeren, Schlagsahne, roten Bohnen, Schoko-Walnüssen usw.) serviert.

4. Fluffy’s NYC, Smorgasburg
Fluffy’s NYC ist in Smorgasburg zu finden und serviert große Pfannkuchen. Nach eigenen Angaben ist die Kreation „weder ein Pfannkuchen noch ein Soufflé, sondern ein bisschen von beidem“. Aber wir halten es trotzdem für einen Soufflé-Pfannkuchen, denn sieh dir diesen weichen, wolkigen Stapel an!
