The Winter Domes at Rockefeller Plaza are a great way to warm up this winter if you’re looking to be at the heart of all the holiday buzz. Set up in City Winery’s year-round outdoor wine garden, the winter dome igloos seat up to eight guests and are of course completely heated (so you won’t have to hang onto your coat while you sip on your spiked hot cider).
This year the igloos opened for the season on Friday, December 1st.
The igloos are the perfect spot to take a break from all your holiday shopping and pop in for a couple of hours of eating and drinking. Visitors can choose from seasonal items like hot chocolate, spiked cider, mulled wine, as well as their signature wines. Parties can even order a seasonal picnic basket of snacks to enjoy alongside their drinks.
Last year there were only four domes, so if it’s the same this year guests will have to act quickly!
Reservations for the winter domes are for a 2-hour window. It costs $250 to reserve while the tree is in the plaza and $100 fee after tree leaves the plaza.
The winter igloos also returned to City Vineyard & Wine Garden at Pier 26. The igloos opened at both locations on Friday, December 1st, and reservations are now available online.
