The Winter Domes at Rockefeller Plaza are a great way to warm up this winter if you’re looking to be at the heart of all the holiday buzz. Set up in City Winery’s year-round outdoor wine garden, the winter dome igloos seat up to eight guests and are of course completely heated (so you won’t have to hang onto your coat while you sip on your spiked hot cider).
This year the igloos will open for the season on Friday, December 1st.
The igloos are the perfect spot to take a break from all your holiday shopping and pop in for a couple of hours of eating and drinking.
We don’t yet have all of the details for this year’s igloos, but last year visitors could choose from seasonal items like hot chocolate, spiked cider, and mulled wine, as well as wines on tap and beers from Montauk Brewing Co.
Last year’s food menu included light bites such as cheese plates, cheese and meat plates, marinated olives, hummus, and an Italian wrap.
Last year there were only four domes, so if it’s the same this year guests will have to act quickly!
In order to reserve a Winter Dome there was a minimum food and beverage spend of up to $150 from 1-3:45 p.m. and $250 from 4 p.m. onward, for up to eight guests. Reservations gave guests 90 minutes in the exclusive private space to snack and drink as they’d like.
If you want to get there and make the most of your time, last year City Winery also allowed guests to do a pre-order of menu items!
The winter igloos will also return to City Vineyard & Wine Garden at Pier 26.
The igloos are set to open at both locations on Friday, December 1st, and reservations will open either Monday, November 27th, or Tuesday, November 28th.
Be sure to check back soon for updates!
