The holiday season has officially arrived in NYC, and we’re already thinking about our shopping lists! What can we snag for our loved ones and place under the tree? And, of course, what do we want to find in our stocking?
From vintage clothing and yummy eats to handmade jewelry and gorgeous artwork, vendors are aplenty and offer great finds for your next White Elephant and beyond. NYC is home to the most creative artists, after all.
If you’re not sure where to begin, we’ve put together a list of the best winter markets coming to NYC in 2024, where they are, and when they’re open. Be sure to keep an eye on this page as more events are announced, and naturally, add a few of these great spots to your December to-do list.

1. Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park
Bryant Park’s Winter Village is one of our favorite markets for many reasons. Between the local businesses, tasty treats, and 17,000 square foot ice skating rink, you can spend a whole afternoon here.
Even on the coldest of days of you can even cozy up in an igloo or at the Curling Cafe. It’s open now through early March 2025.

2. Grand Central Holiday Fair
Shop at NYC’s longest running indoor holiday fair, all in the iconic Grand Central Terminal! Spend an afternoon browsing through the different local vendors that offer everything from Christmas ornaments to original artwork. New to the fair this year will be a highly-anticipated Uncommon Goods holiday pop-up located on the bridge next to the main concourse, in addition to exclusive Grand Central merchandise collection. You’re sure to find some unique holiday gifts here! It’s open now through December 24th, 2024.

3. Union Square Holiday Market
You can find just about anything you need to at the Union Square Holiday Market, from food to gifts. There’s over 100 vendors selling products that range from locally-produced ciders to full-grown Christmas wreaths. We suggest checking out some of our favorite business like Three Bluebirds Swedish Dishcloths (Swedish dishcloths), Raw Spirit (female-led socially conscious fragrances), and K2 Pearls (highly sought-after gemstones). The Union Square Holiday Market is open now through December 24th, 2024.

4. Wallabout Wonderland Holiday Market
For one weekend only, the 7th Annual Wallabout Wonderland at the Brooklyn Navy Yard is set to return December 7th – 8th. This incredible holiday pop-up has over 200 local vendors who make goods spanning art, personal care and wellness products to unique accessories and clothing. There are also tons of free activities for kids and families to enjoy. Make sure to swing by the Navy Yard, where you’re bound to find great gifts while holiday shopping!

5. Columbus Circle Holiday Market
This spot is one of the world’s most renowned holiday markets and it’s for good reason! There are aisles and aisles of delicious eats and one-of-a-kind gifts that are perfect for the holiday season. The Columbus Circle Holiday Market ranks right alongside holiday performances, ice skating, and window display admiring as one of the city’s most festive attractions. Its lineup of vendors features over 100 artisans and designers selling special foods, handmade jewelry, art, home goods, and much more. This year’s market is open now through December 31st, 2024.

6. Empire Stores Holiday Pop-Up
The beloved market series, FAD Market is bringing back a pop-up holiday market in DUMBO again this year! This custom built outdoor, holiday shopping and dining experience in the Empire Stores courtyard features all sorts of NYC vendors selling jewelry, clothing, confectionary, and a whole lot more! Plus, there is a heated outdoor lounge area serving sweets and treats, two ticketed photo experiences, a full-size “Chill Moments” snow globe on the fifth floor rooftop, and more! It’s open for the season on weekends from December 7th – 22nd.

7. Grand Holiday Bazaar
Shop over 350+ hand-picked independent local artisans and dealers at this indoor AND outdoor holiday market on the Upper West Side. The rotating vendors sell everything from vintage clothing to artisanal chocolate to even skincare products and candles. The best part of it though? 100% of Grand Bazaar NYC’s profits are donated to four local public schools that benefit 2,000+ children. It’s happening this year from December 1st – December 22nd on select Sundays leading up to the holiday season.

8. DUMBO Holiday Market
This curated marketplace showcases many local makers, designers, and creative small businesses! On select December weekends, you can explore a variety of rotating vendors selling handmade jewelry, stationery, bath and body care, tableware, artisanal packaged food and beverage items, home furnishings, and more! 9. The Holidays Makers Show @ City Point
Shop products that are perfect for all of your holiday gifts from tons of inspiring makers and artisans! This market amplifies businesses owned by BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, women, and other underrepresented groups. What’s more, it helps consumers shop local! You’re sure to find anything from custom jewelry to dog accessories. It’s happening from November 30 – December 22 in Brooklyn! Learn more about this year’s Holidays Maker Show via their website.

10. Brooklyn Flea
The Brooklyn Flea market happens year round, but during the holiday season it goes all out to celebrate. With over 50+ vendors selling handmade and vintage items, you’re sure to find a special gift for someone. Be sure to stop by and grab some scenic views of the NYC skyline when you’re in the DUMBO area!

11. Macy’s Holiday Square & Herald Holiday Market
Exciting news for shoppers: Macy’s and Herald Square are getting two holiday markets in 2024. While the seasonal spot is a go-to for Thanksgiving, it’ll be interesting to see how the Midtown locale transforms come Christmastime. This year they’ll be welcoming two holiday markets, one that’s already open inside the actual flagship store (through January 3rd) and one outdoors in Herald Square (December 6 – January 3). The markets are set to be the first rendition, and will feature vendors like Gnocchi on 9th, Wacky Wonderworks, and more!

12. Harlem Night Market – Holiday Edition
One of our favorite night markets is set to return for a special holiday edition on three Saturdays this December! The Harlem Night Market will take a over a brand new location on December 7th, 14th, 31st and feature plenty of curated food, music, makers, and culture!

13. Bronx Holiday Market Pop-Up
The team behind most of NYC’s beloved night markets is hosting a special Bronx pop-up this year, bringing together local artisans and food vendors for a lovely celebration. It’ll happen in Fordham Plaza on select days throughout the holiday season, where shoppers can browse all sorts of handmade goods and delicious treats!

14. Uptown Holiday Market Pop-Up
For our Uptown folks, pencil in a stop or two to this Uptown Holiday Market Pop-Up, which will welcome food and crafts vendors on select Thursdays throughout December! Whether you’re looking for a festive bite or a gift for that special someone, there will be plenty to enjoy once there!

15. Brooklyn Holiday Market Pop-Up
A holiday pop-up market is coming to Industry City in Brooklyn for 2024, welcoming the borough’s finest food vendors and local businesses to shop in November and December!

16. Astoria Market, Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden
This artisan market filled with handmade, baked, and vintage goods is celebrating the holidays with two themed markets in December! Of course there will be festive food and drink as well since it’s happening at Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden in Queens.

17. Buy From A Black Woman Holiday Market
If you’re looking to support black-owned businesses here in NYC, check out this pop-up market coming to 2 NYC locations (Harlem & Midtown) this December. Buy From A Black Woman will be hosting a market of Black Women-owned business vendors from across the country selling home accessories, wellness and beauty products, plus more!

18. MAUM Market at Seaport
The Seaport will be welcoming MAUM Market this holiday season, which is the original, largest Asian makers’ market, founded in 2022. Not only will they be opening a holiday storefront in The Seaport from November 9 – January 29, but they’ll also be hosting a separate outdoor holiday market outside their storefront on December 3rd… coinciding with the tree lighting ceremony at The Seaport. As for what you can expect from the market, imagine all kinds of products from home goods to beauty…all from Asian-owned and operated brands. Learn more about MAUM’s opening here.

19. Schomburg Holiday Market
The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture is hosting a holiday pop-up market this December, featuring tons of products like artwork, clothing, jewelry, stationery, and more! The NYPL-affiliated center will feature products from local small businesses in Harlem owned by people of color!

20. Hester Street Fair
NYC’s beloved Hester Street Fair is one of the most beloved during the warmer months, and for the holidays they’re bringing a pop-up market indoors to the Lower East Side! On weekends throughout December, shoppers can “eat, shop, and party”…picking out hand-crafted gifts, enjoying live music, food and drink, plus more! Learn more here.

21. FAD Market Holiday Pop-up
Boreum Hill is ringing in the holidays with three weekend markets celebrating the best of Brooklyn’s local makers. Whether you’re in search of cute home decor trinkets or some wellness-based products to keep you zen during the holiday season, this adorable pop-up will have 50+ artists at the ready. Even better? Once you’re done browsing, you can head locally to other neighboring FAD Market events, one at St. Paul blocks away in Cobble Hill (190 Court St., Brooklyn) and Empire Stores in Dumbo (55 Water Street) operating on the same days and times. Bring your pups — each event is pet-friendly.

22. “Crafts at the Cathedral” Holiday Market
The world’s largest Gothic Cathedral is bringing back their 26th annual holiday market Crafts at the Cathedral this December! The beautiful interior of The Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine is set to welcome 85 artisans from around the country, selling all sorts of holiday goodies ranging from ceramics and glass to paintings, metal, and so much more. It’s happening during the weekend of December 6th – 8th and tickets range from $10 – $18. For tickets and the full list of exhibitors, visit their website.

23. BKLYN CLAY Holiday Pop-Up Market
BKLYN CLAY, a Boerum Hill-based ceramics studio, is hosting a pop-up market for one weekend only in December, consisting of plenty of ceramics and home goods from 20 local artisans. The market is set to feature pieces from MONDAYS, Recreation Center, Julia Elsas, among other vendors…and Brooklyn-based Japanese tea company Kettl will even be on site serving Matcha Latte, Soba Cha, and Genmai Matcha on Sunday.
