Don’t waste a date on a movie. The snacks are way overpriced, you don’t even get to talk to each other, and your date will be underwhelmed by your unoriginality. If you really want to impress a guy or gal, plan something different and exciting. Here are five great options happening this weekend:

1. Jazz Dinner at the Wayfarer

If you and your date both love jazz, check out this event. There will be good music, a clubroom bar, a seafood-focused menu, and if you RSVP with Fever, you get a free glass of Prosecco with every entree. It doesn’t get more classy than this.

If you and your date are both beer-lovers, you can do better than going to a tap house. Go see a play that chronicles the history of beer, drink while you watch, and hopefully discover more of your common interests.
