While an early spring is on its way we’re still technically in winter. And on the nights that the temperatures dip into those lower numbers, we understand that planning date night could be discouraging.
But you should never miss out on date night, and you definitely won’t be able to turn this idea down!
The Met Museum will once again be hosting date nights in the comfort of their beautiful (and warm) indoor space every Friday and Saturday night!
They invite you to bring your special someone, a friend, or come solo for an unforgettable night at one of the most enchanting and iconic establishments in the city.
The evening will go from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., for three magical hours of live music, drinks, and sweeping gallery exhibits.
Live music will carry through the entire expansive museum, featuring various performers such as string quartet ETHEL.
Museum guides will be scattered across the galleries so onlookers can engage and ask questions about pieces as they “‘get to know’ a work of art, just like a first date,” shared the Met.
And what would date night be without some cocktails? The museum will offer drink specials, along with light fare in the American Wing Café and Petrie Court Café. Members at the Evening Hour Levels or above can even head to the Balcony Lounge for an exclusive menu of small bites.
Same to regular admissions, tri-state area students and New York state residents can pay-what-they-wish. Otherwise, visitors can enjoy date night for free along with their admissions ticket.
Advanced tickets are not required for date night.
