Schauen wir uns unsere Lieblingsfestivals in NYC an, die entweder jetzt stattfinden oder später in diesem Sommer stattfinden werden!
1. Tribeca-Festival
Das Tribeca Festival kehrt diesen Juni nach NYC zurück und läuft vom 5. bis 16. Juni! In diesem Jahr gibt es brandneue Filmvorführungen, Diskussionsrunden und Vorträge, interaktive Spiele und Erlebnisse und vieles mehr. 2. Governors Ball Musikfestival
Das kultige Governors Ball Music Festival in New York findet im Juni statt, und das diesjährige Lineup hat es in sich! Das dreitägige Festival findet im Flushing Meadows Corona Park statt, mit musikalischen Acts wie Lizzo, ODESZA und Kendrick Lamar, Lil Nas X, HAIM, Lil Uzi Vert, Diplo, Lil Baby, PinkPantheress, Pusha T, Joey Badass und vielen mehr. 3. Lincoln Center Sommer für die Stadt
Der „Summer for the City“ des Lincoln Centers findet offiziell zum dritten Mal statt! Vom 12. Juni bis zum 10. August verwandelt sich das Lincoln Center und bietet eine Vielzahl von unterhaltsamen Sommeraktivitäten. Zu den Höhepunkten gehören Konzerte mit dem Festival Orchestra of Lincoln Center, eine einwöchige India Week , eine von Nadia Sirota kuratierte zeitgenössische Konzertreihe, die Rückkehr des BAAND Together Dance Festival, Pride Month Feiern, Juneteenth Event, Comedy Nights, Wellness-Events und Workshops, Kunstaktionen und vieles mehr.

4. Jazz Age Lawn Party
Auf der Jazz Age Lawn Party, die am 8. und 9. Juni sowie am 10. und 11. August wieder in New York City stattfindet, können Sie sich in die Zeit der 1920er Jahre zurückversetzen lassen . Das Spektakel, das ganz im Zeichen der Prohibition steht, bietet jede Menge Aktivitäten wie zwei riesige Tanzflächen, ein französisches Pop-up-Café und einen Markt, Weinproben, einen Biergarten, eine Oldtimer-Ausstellung und vieles mehr! 5. SummerStage NYC
Die SummerStage im Central Park ist eine New Yorker Sommertradition, und sie ist diesen Sommer mit einem unglaublichen Programm zurück. Sie beginnt im Juni und läuft während der Hundstage des Sommers, wobei viele fantastische Künstler in New York zu Gast sind. Die Konzertreihe wird von City Parks organisiert und bietet Shows in 12 verschiedenen Parks in der ganzen Stadt, wobei die größte Bühne im Central Park steht. Die gebuchten Künstler reichen von Afrobeat über Hip-Hop bis hin zu Indie, und viele Konzerte sind sogar kostenlos!

6. Museumsmeilen-Festival
Eine der elektrisierendsten Blockpartys in NYC ist diesen Sommer wieder da: das Museum Mile Festival, bei dem Sie 8 der berühmtesten Museen in NYC kostenlos besuchen können! Das Festival findet am Dienstag, den 18. Juni von 18 bis 21 Uhr statt, wenn die Fifth Ave von der 82nd Street bis zur 105th Street komplett für den Verkehr gesperrt wird, damit die New Yorker bequem durch viele der Museen in Uptown schlendern können. Außerdem wird es zahlreiche kunstbezogene Aktivitäten, Essensverkäufer und Straßenmusiker geben, die den kostenlosen Museumseintritt begleiten! Sehen Sie hier, welche Museen teilnehmen!
7. Bryant Park Picknick Aufführungen
Genießen Sie kostenlose Aufführungen im Freien den ganzen Sommer über im Bryant Park, wo u. a. die New York City Opera und die Carnegie Hall Citywide Vorstellungen geben. 8. Little Island’s Sommersaison
Die Sommersaison von Little Island mit ihren Unterhaltungsangeboten und Veranstaltungen geht in ihre vierte Saison. Sie findet vom 1. Juni bis zum 13. September statt und umfasst brandneue Aufführungen, die von Tanz über Theater bis hin zur Oper reichen. Das komplette Programm finden Sie hier!

9. Smorgasburg
Besuchen Sie Smorgasburg, einen der besten Open-Air-Märkte in der ganzen Stadt, und essen Sie mit Freunden! Schlendern Sie durch eine Vielzahl von Verkäufern und probieren Sie verschiedene Snacks und Lebensmittel, während Sie die warme Sommerluft genießen. Es gibt 4 Smorgasburg-Standorte in NYC, darunter Williamsburg (samstags von 11 bis 18 Uhr), Prospect Park (sonntags von 11 bis 18 Uhr) und World Trade Center (freitags von 11 bis 19 Uhr). Diese Food-Festivals sind die perfekte Art, einen Tag zu verbringen und nebenbei ein paar leckere Häppchen zu essen!
10. Coney Island Meerjungfrauen-Parade
Am Samstag, den 22. Juni , findet auf Coney Island eine der skurrilsten Paraden und Festivals statt, die diese Stadt jedes Jahr zu bieten hat. Die Coney Island Mermaid Parade feiert den Beginn des Sommers mit vielen von Meerjungfrauen inspirierten Kostümen, Festwagen und Darbietungen entlang der Promenade von Coney Island. Die Parade ist ein Spaß für alle, und die Teilnehmer werden sogar aufgefordert, sich in ihren glitzernden, nautischen Kostümen zu zeigen. 11. Drachenfest
Das größte chinesische Essensfestival in New York City wird diesen Sommer bis Oktober an ausgewählten Orten stattfinden. Auf dem Dragon Fest werden über 100 verschiedene chinesische Gerichte angeboten, von Suppenknödeln bis hin zu Puddingkuchen. 12. PrideFest
Das PrideFest findet auch diesen Juni wieder statt und ist damit eine der größten Pride-Veranstaltungen in NYC, die den ganzen Monat über stattfindet! Die LGBTQIA+ Street Fair findet am 30. Juni ab 11 Uhr statt und bietet eine Vielzahl von Ausstellern, die sich mit dem Thema Pride befassen, Unterhaltungskünstler, Aktivitäten, Musik, Essen und kostenlose Pride-Ausrüstung. 13. Hinterhof bei Hudson Yards
Der Backyard at Hudson Y ards auf der Westside wird einen ganzen Sommer lang ein unterhaltsames Programm bieten! Neben einer 8-wöchigen kostenlosen Konzertreihe (mit Künstlern wie Keke Palmer, Chayce Beckham und anderen) gibt es auch andere Angebote wie Filmabende, Sportübertragungen auf der Großleinwand, wöchentliche Fitnesskurse, Workshops für die ganze Familie, DJ-Sets, Food Trucks und vieles mehr! 14. US Open-Fanwoche
Die alljährlichen U.S. Open Tennis Championships werden Ende August/Anfang September wieder aufgenommen, und ein paar Wochen davor findet die Fan Week statt! Sie umfasst in der Regel alle möglichen Aktivitäten und Veranstaltungen, um Ihnen das Spiel näher zu bringen… einschließlich Trainingseinheiten, Freundschaftsspielen, einem Kindertag und vielem mehr. Bleiben Sie in den kommenden Monaten dran, um alle Einzelheiten zu erfahren, aber merken Sie sich schon jetzt den 19. bis 25. August vor!
15. Harlemer Woche
Dieses Jahr feiert die Harlem Week ihr 50-jähriges Bestehen, ein einwöchiges Festival, das das reiche Erbe des Viertels und seiner Bewohner feiert. In der Regel finden alle möglichen virtuellen und Live-Veranstaltungen statt, darunter Live-Musik, Tanzaufführungen, Podiumsdiskussionen und gastronomische Angebote lokaler Unternehmen. Dieses Jahr findet es vom 7. bis 18. August statt, also bleiben Sie dran.
16. Drachenbootfest in Hongkong
Das Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival findet im Flushing Meadows-Corona Park statt und feiert die chinesische Kultur mit Drachenbootrennen, traditioneller Musik, Tanzvorführungen und Essen.
