The streets definitely will be filled with music this summer — there are so many outdoor concerts planned for NYC!
There’s Bryant Park’s Picnic Performances, then Pioneer Works’ ‘Second Sundays’ Series, and of course, the return of Lincoln Center’s Summer for the City with music and dance performances all season long.
Now, you can add Hudson Yards to your music-filled calendar.
Back by popular demand, the neighborhood and shopping complex’s “Backyard at Hudson Yards presented by Wells Fargo” summer extravaganza will return even better than before. Along with live sports games played on the 30-foot Big Screen, fitness classes powered by Rhone and rotating street food options, there will be FREE, live outdoor concerts programmed by The Bowery Presents.
The free concerts will be every Wednesday at 6 p.m. for 8 weeks from June 21st – August 9th in the Public Square & Gardens. Here’s just a sneak peek at the artist lineup so far:
- June 21st – Geese
- June 28th – Thuy
- August 2nd – The 502s
“Every summer, Hudson Yards’ public space transforms into one of New York City’s most vibrant outdoor destinations. In partnership with Wells Fargo, we’re proud to continue to offer an array of free programming for summer 2023 that ensures Hudson Yards is the ultimate place to be all summer long,” said Stephanie Fink, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Partnerships & Events for Hudson Yards. “Whether you are a lifelong New Yorker or visiting for the first time, there is always something for everyone at Backyard at Hudson Yards.”
You can find more details about Backyard at Hudson Yards on their website here. Though the concerts begin in June, other family-friendly events kick-off May 1!
