If you missed out on the more than 200,000 tulips that took over Union Square last weekend, have no fear! You’ll still be able to get your tulip fix on Manhattan’s Upper West Side for the annual West Side Community Garden’s Annual Tulip Festival.
Thousands of tulips will bloom across the garden for an unforgettable floral festival you can’t miss. It will kick off on April 13 and run through early May. The month-long event is entirely free and open to the public.
Over the weekends of April 13-14 and April 20-21, visitors can enjoy special information days. In season’s past, curious visitors could even embark on a horticultural tour of the planting beds given by on-site garden members.
“We know that the Tulip Festival is a family favorite every year,” said Judith Robinson, president of the board of directors of the West Side Community Garden. And this year’s event is definitely not one to miss!
The tulip bulbs were planted back in November by garden members and community volunteers. Other spring flowers will decorate the garden, in addition to the tulips.
