It’s only a few months until the holiday season and we’re already thinking about our shopping lists! NYC is home to some of the best vendors and food sources in the country that are setting up shop at holiday markets across the city! From vintage clothing to yummy eats to even handmade jewelry and artwork, you never know what you’re going to find!
To make things a bit easier, we’ve put together a list of the best winter markets coming to NYC in 2024, where they are and when they’re open. Be sure to keep your eye on this article too as more pop-up markets get announced in the coming months!
1. Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park
Bryant Park’s Winter Village is one of our favorite markets for many reasons. Between the local businesses, tasty treats, and 17,000 square foot ice skating rink, you can spend a whole afternoon here if you wanted to!
Even on the coldest of days of you can even cozy up in an igloo or at the Curling Cafe. It’s October 25, 2024 – early March 2025.

2. Grand Central Holiday Fair
Shop at NYC’s longest running indoor holiday fair, all in the iconic Grand Central Terminal! Spend an afternoon browsing through the different local vendors that offer everything from Christmas ornaments to original artwork. You’re sure to find some unique holiday gifts here! It’s open November 11 – December 24, 2024. Learn more here.

3. Union Square Holiday Market
You can find just about anything you need to at the Union Square Holiday Market, from food to gifts. There’s over 100 vendors selling products that range from locally-produced ciders to full-grown Christmas wreaths. The best part though? Most things are very affordable! We suggest checking out some of our favorite business like Three Bluebirds Swedish Dishcloths (Swedish dishcloths), Raw Spirit (female-led socially conscious fragrances), and K2 Pearls (highly sought-after gemstones). Union Square Holiday Market runs from November 14 – December 24, 2024.

4. Columbus Circle Holiday Market
This spot is one of the world’s most renowned holiday markets and it’s for good reason! There’s aisles and aisles of delicious eats and one-of-a-kind gifts that are perfect for the holiday season. The Columbus Circle Holiday Market ranks right alongside holiday performances, ice skating, and window display admiring as one of the city’s most festive attractions. Their lineup of vendors features over 100 artisans and designers selling special foods, handmade jewelry, art, home goods, and much more. This year’s market runs from December 3 – 31, 2024.

5. Empire Stores Holiday Pop-Up
The beloved market series, FAD Market is bringing back a pop-up holiday market in DUMBO again this year! This custom built outdoor, holiday shopping and dining experience in the Empire Stores courtyard features all sorts of NYC vendors selling jewelry, clothing, confectionary, and a whole lot more! Plus, there is a heated outdoor lounge area serving sweets and treats, two ticketed photo experiences, a full-size “Chill Moments” snow globe on the fifth floor rooftop, and more! It’s open for the season on weekends from December 7 – 22. Learn more about what to expect via their website.

6. Grand Holiday Bazaar
Shop over 350+ hand-picked independent local artisans and dealers at this indoor AND outdoor holiday market on the Upper West Side. The rotating vendors sell everything from vintage clothing to artisanal chocolate to even skincare products and candles. The best part of it though? 100% of Grand Bazaar NYC’s profits are donated to four local public schools that benefit 2,000+ children. It’s happening this year from December 1 – December on select Sundays leading into holiday season.

7. DUMBO Holiday Market
This curated marketplace showcases many local makers, designers, and creative small businesses! On select December weekends, you can explore a variety of rotating vendors selling handmade jewelry, stationery, bath and body care, tableware, artisanal packaged food and beverage items, home furnishings, and more! These two markets are also hosted by the popular pop-up market series, FAD Market. Learn more about these two markets here!

8. The Holidays Makers Show @ City Point
Shop products that are perfect for all of your holiday gifts from tons of inspiring makers and artisans! This market amplifies businesses owned by BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, women, and other underrepresented groups and of course, helps consumers shop local! You’re sure to find anything from custom jewelry to dog accessories. It’s happening from November 30 – December 22 in Brooklyn! Learn more about this year’s Holidays Maker Show via their website.

9. Brooklyn Flea
The Brooklyn Flea market happens year round, but during the holiday season it goes all out to celebrate. With over 50+ vendors selling handmade and vintage items, you’re sure to find a special gift for someone. Be sure to stop by and grab some scenic views of the NYC skyline if you’re in the DUMBO area!

10. Macy’s Holiday Square & Herald Holiday Market
Exciting news for shoppers: Macy’s and Herald Square are getting a holiday market in 2024. While the seasonal spot is a go-to for Thanksgiving, it’ll be interesting to see how the Midtown locale transforms come Christmastime. This year they’ll be welcoming two holiday markets, one inside the actual flagship store (November 1 – January 3) and one outdoors in Herald Square (December 6 – January 3). The markets are set to be the first rendition, and will feature vendors like Gnocchi on 9th, Wacky Wonderworks, and more!

11. Harlem Night Market – Holiday Edition
One of our favorite night markets is set to return for a special holiday edition on three Saturdays this December! The Harlem Night Market will take a over a brand new location on December 7th, 14th, 31st and feature plenty of curated food, music, makers, and culture! They’re also currently looking for vendors if you own a business.

12. Bronx Holiday Market Pop-Up
The team behind most of NYC’s beloved night markets is hosting a special Bronx pop-up this year…bringing together local artisans and food vendors for a lovely market. It’ll happen in Fordham Plaza on select days throughout the holiday season, where shoppers can browse all sorts of handmade goods and delicious treats!

13. Uptown Holiday Market Pop-Up
For our Uptown folks, pencil in a stop or two to this Uptown Holiday Market Pop-Up, which will welcome food and crafts vendors on select Thursdays throughout December! Whether you’re looking for a festive bite or a gift for that special someone, there will be plenty to browse!

14. Brooklyn Holiday Market Pop-Up
A holiday pop-up market is coming to Industry City in Brooklyn for 2024, welcoming the borough’s finest food vendors and local businesses to shop in November and December!

15. Astoria Market, Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden
This artisan market filled with handmade, baked, and vintage goods is celebrating the holidays with two themed markets in December! Of course there will be festive food and drink as well since it’s happening at Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden in Queens.

16. Buy From A Black Woman Holiday Market
If you’re looking to support black-owned businesses here in NYC, check out this pop-up market coming to 2 NYC locations (Harlem & Midtown) this December. Buy From A Black Woman will be hosting a market of Black Women-owned business vendors from across the country selling home accessories, wellness and beauty products, plus more!

17. MAUM Market at Seaport
The Seaport will be welcoming MAUM Market this holiday season, which is the original, largest Asian makers’ market, founded in 2022. Not only will they be opening a holiday storefront in The Seaport from November 9 – January 29, but they’ll also be hosting a separate outdoor holiday market outside their storefront on December 3rd… coinciding with the tree lighting ceremony at The Seaport. As for what you can expect from the market, imagine all kinds of products from home goods to beauty…all from Asian-owned and operated brands. Learn more about MAUM’s opening here.
