Anstatt eine vegetarische Ernährung als Einschränkung zu betrachten, finden die Köche, dass das Angebot von vegetarischen Gerichten die perfekte Gelegenheit ist, kreativ zu werden – und wir Vegetarier sind definitiv nicht böse darüber.

Für alle Vegetarier und Veganer, die so verzweifelt einen guten Burger vermissen, müssen Sie so schnell wie möglich zu Jerrell’s BETR BRGR gehen. Und das im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes, wir machen keine Witze. Bei den Burgern fragt man sich, ob sie wirklich vegan sind (keine Sorge, sie sind es!), und wir wollen gar nicht erst mit den Chili-Pommes und den Milchshakes anfangen… denn wir können gar nicht aufhören. Alles hier ist zu 100 % pflanzlich und zu 150 % köstlich (und genau deshalb haben sie unseren Secret NYC Stamp of Approval erhalten!)

2. HanGawi, Koreatown
„Ein vegetarisches Heiligtum in einem anderen Raum und einer anderen Zeit“, so lautet das Motto des HanGawi, das sich bewusst ist, dass es schwierig sein kann, sich grün zu ernähren… aber es ist nicht schwierig, wenn man in so gutes Essen wie das des HanGawi hineinbeißt. Das von gebürtigen Koreanern gegründete HanGawi basiert auf den Prinzipien von um und yang (der koreanischen Version von Yin und Yang) und bietet seinen Gästen frische, gesunde und ausgewogene Mahlzeiten. Außerdem können Sie es sich hier dank der „Keine Schuhe erlaubt“-Regel und der ruhigen Atmosphäre mit Zen-Musik gemütlich machen.

Das Modern Love bietet sowohl Innen- als auch Außenplätze und bietet ein authentisches New Yorker Essenserlebnis. Hier gibt es veganes Comfort Food wie Wings (mit Büffel- und Knoblauchparmesan), ein Kichererbsen-Parmesan-Hero und gebratene Pilz-Hähnchen (sehr empfehlenswert). Außerdem wird hier auch Brunch serviert, und die Spiked Butterfly Lemonade ist die perfekte Begleitung zu Ihrem Essen.

Spicy Moon ist bekannt für seine Dan-Dan-Nudeln und bietet die köstlichste vegane Szechuan-Küche, die Sie je gegessen haben. Alles auf der Speisekarte ist ein Muss, aber wenn du dich ein bisschen überfordert fühlst, empfehlen wir dir die Gemüse-Wontons in Chili-Öl, den Rosenkohl mit Pfefferkörnern, die Dan Dan-Nudeln (natürlich) und den trockenen Pfeffer-Tofu.

5. Délice & Sarrasin, West Village
Mit einer 100 % veganen Speisekarte, die auf französische Rezepte spezialisiert ist, verbindet Delice & Sarrasin Pariser Flair mit New Yorker Stil. Das Lokal im West Village bietet authentische Galettes und vegane süße Crêpes, die mit dem Buchweizenmehl hergestellt werden, das dem Restaurant seinen Namen gibt(Delice bedeutet „köstlich“ und Sarrasin bezieht sich auf das Mehl). Dieses Lokal ist auf ein einzigartiges und traditionelles französisches Essenserlebnis ausgerichtet und ist definitiv ein Muss.

Hier gibt es auch Hühnchen-, Rindfleisch- und sogar Meeresfrüchte-Attrappen! Außerdem gibt es Sitzgelegenheiten auf der Straße, so dass wir bei schönem Wetter einen Platz im Freien empfehlen!

Little Beet Table ist ein gemüseorientiertes Vollservice-Restaurant. Hier ist für jeden etwas dabei, egal ob Sie sich für das Pilz-Ruben, die Rigatoni oder den Rüben- und Grünkohlsalat entscheiden. Die Überzeugung ist, dass man sich beim Essen wohlfühlen sollte, und es ist schwer, sich nicht wohlzufühlen, wenn man so lecker isst.
