From the Union Square Holiday Market to the Grand Central Holiday Fair and the Columbus Circle Holiday Market, there’s no shortage of spots for New Yorkers to head to during the holiday season for shopping and tasty treats.
But one market stands out from the rest as it was just voted one of the best Christmas markets in the world–the Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park!
Planet Cruise put together a list of the Best Christmas Markets in the World for 2023, based on factors such as number of stalls available, opening dates, TripAdvisor reviews, and more.
And Bryant Park’s Winter Village isn’t the only NYC market that made it to the list–the Union Square Holiday Market came in at number seventeen!
According to the study, Union Square’s Holiday Market brings in 2,000,000 attendees a year. It’s no surprise why–the market features 185 vendors featuring unique gifts created by local craftsmen, artists, and entrepreneurs offering everything from jewelry and hats to puzzles and chopstick art.
Plus, with endless tasty treats to nibble on and, of course, hot chocolate to warm you up, you basically wouldn’t need to stop anywhere else to do your holiday shopping! The park even has its own Curling Café and cozy igloos!
Moreover, Bryant Park has more Instagram hashtags than any other market on the list, at a staggering 71,7724, as well as the most TripAdvisor reviews–23,854.
While the Union Square Holiday Market came in at number seventeen on the list worldwide, it ranked as the second best Christmas market in the U.S. and Canada.
Union Square boasts 200 stalls that visitors can browse over 51 days, where you’ll find a carefully curated selection of art, crafts, food, and even home accessories.
Though Bryant Park and Union Square’s Christmas markets can easily be considered the only shops you need to visit for all your holiday needs, be sure to check out all the other holiday markets sprinkled around NYC this season!
Happy holidays!
