The West Village’s Via Carota is one of our fav spots to grab delicious Italian food–thoughts alone of their fried rabbit have our mouths watering endlessly.
Founded by James Beard award-winning chefs Jody Williams and Rita Sodi, the women-owned trattoria, inspired by a 17th-century Florentine villa, honors old-world Italian roots.
However, it’s notoriously one of NYC’s hardest reservations to score, and a trip straight to Italy may be easier than enjoying a meal here (especially with the new flights from NYC to Rome!)
But instead of stalking Resy (and crying about how there are no seats available) how would you feel if we told you you can bring a little piece of Via Carota straight to you?!
The restaurant recently introduced Via Carota Craft Cocktails, featuring six of their most classic cocktails that you can enjoy right at home, no mixing required–so it’s okay if you never furthered your mixologist career after taking that one bartending class ten years ago.
The cocktails are available in the following flavors:
- Classic Negroni
- White Negroni
- Old Fashioned
- Signature Manhattan
- Espresso Martini
- Signature Martini
The launch of Via Carota Craft Cocktails aims to capture the hearts of cocktail lovers in the same way the restaurant has, and “allow people to enjoy the magic of a festive cocktail hour or the warmth of a dinner with friends…wherever life finds them.”
“Via Carota is a love letter to the moments, big and small, that deserve to be celebrated,” said Jody Williams. “We work tirelessly in the restaurant to have our guests taste the soul, the culture, and the emotion infused into every bite of food and sip of a drink.”
The six cocktails are just the start of Via Carota Craft Cocktails, which has plans to expand over time. You can snag one of the bar cart-worthy bottles for yourself here.
“We’ve worked for years to perfect our recipes in the kitchen and behind the bar, and we’re honored that VCCC can take this inspiration and allow consumers to experience the finest craft cocktails, anywhere,” said Rita Sodi. “We hope you love the cocktails as much as we do.”
Enjoying a Via Carota cocktail at home is better than not enjoying Via Carota at all, though if you do get your hands on a reservation…we’re free all week!
