Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are back in NYC, and this time around, they appear to be craving Italian.
The lovebirds decided to celebrate the summer solstice with a trip to Little Italy for a bite to eat at Torrisi, a fairly new establishment that has gained a lot of attention — so much so that The New York Times just named it one of the 100 best restaurants in NYC…again!
This is quite a shift from Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez’s recent NYC outing, but we have to say, our pop country crooner picked well.
All about Torrisi in Little Italy
Torrisi, part of Mario Carbone’s Major Food Group, opened its doors in 2022 and has been on everyone’s reservation bucket list since. The charming yet chic eatery is in the iconic Puck Building on Mulberry Street and sports vaulted ceilings, exposed brick walls, and an art deco vibe.
As far as the eats go, the menu might be limited, but it’s certainly exceptional. Dinner favorites include Linguini in a Pink Manhattan Clam Sauce, Chicken Alla Griglia, Dover Sole Francese and the simple yet reliable Tortellini Pomodoro.
If TayTay and Trav haven’t convinced you to stop by, The New York Times will. The writeup insists Torrisi is enriched in New York City history, despite being somewhat new to town, and pays homage to the city’s diverse backgrounds. (See examples like the cavatelli with the Jamaican beef ragu.)
Plus, Torrisi makes for a fun night on the town. The NYT writeup concludes with, “This is one of New York’s great dining rooms, capable of making even a snack at the bar feel like a glamorous night on the town.”
Reservations are available up to 30 days in advanced for groups up to six. Walk-ins are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, but we anticipate a bit more of a crowd thanks to Taylor and Travis. If you’re keen on something hearty, there’s another Italian restaurant Taylor Swift frequents in NYC, and we promise it’s also a knockout.
