Get ready for more boozy slushies with your Crunchwrap Supreme! Taco Bell is bringing another one of its Cantinas to NYC, this time to Midtown South.
According to the Commercial Observer, Taco Bell just signed a 10-year lease on 4,610 square feet of space, spanning the basement, first and second floors of the building. The space was previously occupied by Five Boro Burger, located at 976 Ave of the Americas (between 35th and 36th Street).
Taco Bell recently opened its fifth NYC Catina location in the West Village. The “Catina” concept is tailored for metro areas and doesn’t include drive-throughs. They usually feature “open-kitchen concepts, local artwork, shareable tapas-style menus, free WiFi for customers, outlets for charging devices and modern restaurant designs that invite customers to stay and socialize over their meal,” according to their website.
And, of course, one of the most important additions: boozy “slushie” drinks and specialty beers! Some Cantina locations also have specialty food items, like seven-layer dips and nacho boxes.
It’s all part of their goal to open 1,000 new domestic restaurants by 2022. 300 of those are Urban In-Line or Cantina concepts, and 125 of those will be in NYC and the surrounding boroughs.
They also have a Cantina location coming to the Paramount Building in Times Square this summer, the Commercial Observer also reported.
When reached for comment, Taco Bell said they will be releasing more details to the public about the location soon.
We can’t wait!
