Another Taco Bell Cantina is gearing up to open in the West Village!
Over the last year Taco Bell has been growing its Cantina franchise within Manhattan, and we’re certainly not complaining about it. The chain currently has four of these boozy concept outposts on the island and will be opening their fifth one soon at 230 Varick Street.
Much like the other locations, the new Taco Bell Cantina will serve boozy “slushie” drinks along with their specialty beer brewed specifically for the chain: the Blue Point Brewing Big City Bell Pilsner. While nothing has been confirmed, we hope the menu will be similar to that of their Midtown location which recently opened with new items like a seven-layer dip, nacho boxes, and new Freeze flavors. That location also incorporated a new feature where diners could sync up their phones to the speakers to play music…however, jury is still out on whether or not that was successful.
According to Commercial Observer, Taco Bell has signed a 10 year lease for the West Village space at $200 per square foot 1,750-square-foot space. An opening date for the new Cantina has not yet been announced.
