Everyone’s favorite affordable grocery store, Trader Joe’s, is opening more than 20 new locations across the country—among them, Staten Island‘s second store and several other spots across New York State.
The new Staten Island location will open up at 6400 Amboy Rd. No official opening date is set on the website. However, the website states their crew is working hard to open its doors by the end of the year.

The Trader Joe’s website wrote:
At Staten Island – South Shore , we see ourselves as your neighborhood grocery store…Most importantly, we offer all of our delicious, quality products at the very best prices. We’re happy to be part of your community, and proud to offer you unique products and an exceptional shopping experience, every day.
Customers can expect to shop Trader Joe’s cult classics, like Mandarin Orange Chicken and Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate. The website does state that no alcohol will be sold at this location.
The first Trader Joe’s on Staten Island opened in October of 2011 at 2385 Richmond Ave. in New Spingville. According to silive more than 100 customers were lined up outside on opening morning. The same excitement is expected for the South Shore opening.

Additional Trader Joe’s locations coming to New York include a store in Miller Place, New York and Glenmont, New York. There’s even a location coming to Woodbridge (Iselin), New Jersey. You can find a full list of Trader Joe’s store openings on the official website.
