Calling those with smoldering charm, soulful eyes, a roguish smile, and salt-and-pepper scruff: the internet’s daddy, otherwise known as Pedro Pascal–or Papi Pascal orrr Daddy Pascal–is the star in NYC’s next search for celebrity doppelgängers as a Pedro Pascal look alike contest heads to the Lower East Side this weekend.
Though the announcement of past look alike contests was done via flyers that eventually went viral on various social media platforms–such as was the case for both the Timothée Chalamet Look Alike Contest and the Zayn Malik Look Alike Contest–the Pedro Pascal look alike contest was announced directly on Instagram, and it was done so by an NYC Mexican restaurant rather than a YouTuber or swooning fan eager to surround themselves with hundreds of versions of their crush (though we don’t blame them for that!).
Son Del North, from three-time Chopped Champion Chef Annisha Garcia who hails from Tijuana, is hosting the contest to celebrate the restaurant’s one year anniversary. In fact, the celebration is a whole weekend affair of exciting surprises and giveaways, including $1 burritos and the chance to win a private 10-person burrito party.
But we really have our eye on Sunday, June 15th, when Son Del North is inviting the public to dress up as their favorite version of Pedro Pascal, whether that be him in The Mandalorian, The Last of Us, or just red carpet charm.
The idea for the contest was inspired after Pascal told Sean Evans on an episode of Hot Ones that there’s “no good Mexican food in New York.” Obviously, Son del North begs to differ. Those prepared to put their best effortlessly rugged foot forward has the chance to win a fabulous prize, including:
- 1st Place – $50 cash + one year of free burritos (1 per week)
- 2nd Place – $50 gift card
- 3rd Place – $25 gift card
- Top 10 Finalists – free bean & cheese burrito
