The Luna Park Frost Fest is slated to return to Coney Island for the second year in a row, transforming the summertime hotspot into a winter destination.
While most associate a stroll on the boardwalk and a ride on the Cyclone with the warm weather, this seasonal sensation will make you experience the beachside neighborhood in a whole new light. And after a successful debut in 2023, the event certainly deserves a spot on all New Yorkers’ holiday to-do lists.

So, what can visitors expect this year? Like Santa’s list, the number of offerings is extensive. If you want to glide through a winter wonderland, you’ll be pleased to know ice skating is on tap, as well as shopping through a holiday market filled with local goods, pictures with Santa for the little ones, and igloo rentals with food and drinks for parties of up to six guests.
And it wouldn’t be a trip to Coney Island without a loop on one of your favorite thrill rides, of course! (It is one of our favorite amusement parks in New York, after all.) There are select attractions you can enjoy during Frost Fest, including the Cyclone, Aeromax, the Coney Tower, the Tea Party, to name just a few. This is particularly alluring if you miss your favorite Luna Park pitstops during the cold weather months.
Swap the beach towel for a heavy coat and scarf and make your way down to Coney Island this winter. Visit the Luna Park website for more information and to sign up for ticket release information. The event will begin on November 23rd, 2024.
