Sure, it’s only just begun to feel like fall and Mariah Carey is still thawing out, but we already have winter on the brain.
Rockefeller Center’s Après Skate Chalets open for the cozy season beginning November 1st, and we’re ready to tuck in for spectacular seasonal views and a hot toddy or two. Anyone else?
Though we don’t intend to rush the end of the year, time is of the essence when it comes to holiday events in NYC. Book now, celebrate with your ugly Christmas sweater later — we’ll tell you how.
Rockefeller Center’s Après Skate Chalets open in November
Although details surrounding the 2025 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree are mum at this time, we can confirm that Rockefeller Center ice rink reopens October 11th.
Then, several weeks later, the Balsam Hill chalets open Saturday, November 1st. If this isn’t the ultimate winter experience, we’re not entirely sure what is.
Allow us to give you the rundown: the chalets are stationed along the perimeter of Rockefeller Center and boast spectacular views of the rink, the tree, and the holiday hustle and bustle of Midtown. Up to six guests are welcome to enjoy a 40-minute session with seasonal bites, two digital photos, and an unforgettable experience.

For the first time this year, guests can enjoy a new perk: when booking online, you can score four complimentary Top of the Rock tickets, which are valid at any point throughout the day when you book your chalet. Do keep in mind that prices for the experience run a bit steep — $190 to $570 — and there is a $25 food minimum for each attendee.
For more or to book your time slot, visit the Rockefeller Center website. Catch you by the rink!
