Over the past few months there’s been an outpouring of news about the developments on Hudson Yards, from restaurant collaborations to the opening of their performance center The Shed, to the climbable Hudson Yards ‘Vessel’ installation.
All of these new additions—plus the construction of what will be the highest outdoor observation deck in the Western Hemisphere—has made Hudson Yards one of the most highly anticipated openings in New York City. The area will finally open to the public today, March 15, at noon for shopping, eating, and exploring. As noted in their Grand Opening announcement, “the one-million-square-foot retail center brings together an unparalleled collection of shopping and dining experiences found nowhere else in New York, including offerings from leading brands in every category from luxury to fast fashion, first stores from many digitally native brands and imaginative cultural exhibitions. The culinary collection offers comprehensive and complementary experiences for morning, noon and night, across all food types and price points.”
There will be several “NYC firsts” coming this area including the first Neiman Marcus store (which will take up 190,000-square-feet), in addition to the first Equinox Hotel. The three-level Neiman Marcus flagship will include three restaurants: Zodiac Room, Bar Stanley, and Cook &Merchants.
