Fall is officially here…and there’s still time for one more incredible music festival to take over NYC before the temperature drops–and it’s the incredible Global Citizen Festival!
The annual event returns this Saturday, September 28th, for its 12th iteration, and we couldn’t be more excited! Here’s a guide of everything you need to know about this beloved fall festival:
What is Global Citizen Festival?
Making its Central Park debut in 2012, Global Citizen is the world’s leading international advocacy organization on a mission to end extreme poverty.
Since 2009 Global Citizens have taken over 33.5 million actions which, in combination with high-level advocacy work, have led to over $43.6 billion being distributed to partners around the world, impacting 1.29 billion lives in the fight against poverty.

This year’s Global Citizen Festival will return to NYC on Saturday, September 28th.

What is the music lineup for Global Citizen Festival?
This year’s Global Citizen Festival music lineup is a good one!
This year’s lineup features Post Malone, Doja Cat, LISA (from BLACKPINK), Rauw Alejandro, Jelly Roll, Benson Boone, RAYE, and Alok & The Future is Ancestral.
Beyond the music, Hugh Jackman will host the festival along with appearances by Dr. Jane Goodall and Global Citizen Festival Curator Chris Martin of Coldplay.
How can I get last-minute tickets to Global Citizen Festival this year?
The coolest thing about Global Citizen Festival is that most tickets can be earned completely for free!
Tickets can be earned by taking action on the Global Citizen app or online to demand change from governments and private sector leaders. This includes signing petitions, making donations, taking quizzes, and more.
However, the drawing for free tickets are n0w closed, and you can now only purchase tickets for this year’s festival.

How to get to Global Citizens Festival
Depending on what type of ticket you have, you will have a certain entry that you will have to enter Central Park through. See the corresponding ticket types and locations below:
- GA West: W 72nd St & Central Park W
- GA East: E 72nd St & 5th Ave
- VIP: W 81st St & Central Park W
- Ultimate VIP: W 85th St & Central Park W
- ADA: E 84th St & 5th Ave

Print Your Tickets Out
You can only get in with a printed out ticket. Check your ticket to know what entrance you should come in through.
Gates open at 2 PM
The show starts at 4 pm and goes until 10 pm. The gates to get in close at 8 pm.
No Camping Out
Camping overnight in Central Park is strictly prohibited. Central Park opens at 6 am and festival gates open at 2 pm.
