Posted up across various NYC parks and open-air venues, New Yorkers are set for another incredible season of star-studded performances and endless fun. From the big productions like Governors Ball to smaller staple concert series, you’ll be able to find any kind of music you’re searching for!
To make it easier, we’ve put together a little guide of our must-watch music festivals stopping by the Big Apple…with plenty more coming too so stay tuned!
1. Governors Ball
New York City’s most notable music festival, Governors Ball, will touch down once again in Flushing Meadows Corona Park again on June 7-9, welcoming a star-studded music, food, and drinks lineup! This year’s festival is set to feature headliners Post Malone, The Killers, and SZA…as well as other amazing performances from Rauw Alejandro, 21 Savage, Peso Pluma, Dominic Fike, Carley Rae Jepsen, and more. 2. BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!
Prospect Park’s annual music festival BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! is back once again this summer, celebrating Brooklyn’s culture and creative future. It’s the longest-running, free, outdoor performing arts festival… and it’s happening once again at the Lena Horne Bandshell in Prospect Park from June – August. 3. SummerStage
SummerStage’s annual festival is back once again, spotlighting emerging artists across all genres in all five boroughs. With both free and benefit concerts, the festival prides itself with a lineup of diverse up-and-comers to create epic performances. This year’s 38th season will run from May – October, welcoming artists like T-Pain, Counting Crows, and Ghostface Killah along the way.
Their “main” stage finds its home in Central Park, but other performances take place around NYC in places like Marcus Garvey Park in Harlem, Tompkins Square Park in the East Village, Herbert Von King Park in Bed-Stuy, The Coney Island Amphitheater on the boardwalk, and many more. 4. We Belong Here NYC
A brand new summer series is hitting Governors Island this year, which is set to have 6 unique lineups featuring over 20 artists over the course of two weekends! We Belong Here, who’s built an esteemed reputation in Miami for their innovate DJ sets and festival, will bring 6 epic parties to NYC on the weekends of May 24 – 26 and May 31 – June 2. 5. Forest Hill Stadium concert series
The legendary Forest Hills Stadium is amidst their dazzling 2024 season, hosting some of music’s hottest names in their iconic outdoor venue. The old tennis stadium-turned concert venue has seen the likes of Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand and The Rolling Stones pass through, and this year they’ll welcome names like Hozier, Pitbull, Tiësto, and a whole lot more. 6. The Rooftop at Pier 17 concert series
The Rooftop at Pier 17 might be one of our favorite summer music venues around…and it’s all because of those beautiful skyline views during a concert! Back again for the 2024 season, their rooftop concert series is officially underway…as they welcome an incredible lineup including Taking Back Sunday, Still Woozy, Two Door Cinema Club, O.A.R., Social Distortion and Bad Religion, Electric Callboy, Isaiah Rashad, Nothing But Thieves, and so many more! 7. S2O New York
A brand new immersive water music festival is set to make its US debut this summer at The Brooklyn Mirage called S2O Festival. The event brand has become the world’s biggest Songkran/Thai New Year celebration, producing events in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, and Vietnam…now coming to NYC in partnership with Pulse Events.

8. Afropunk Festival
Celebrating black culture and black creativity is Afropunk Festival, the annual music and arts festival that touches down in Brooklyn every year. Although this year’s dates and lineup hasn’t officially been announced yet, it’s typically filled with musical acts, food, and activations that aim to “celebrate the resilience of the Brooklyn community.” Stay tuned for this year’s festival announcements here.
9. Palm Tree Music Festival
Kygo’s annual Palm Tree Music Festival is returing to The Hamptons this year on June 22! This year’s lineup includes headlining sets from Kygo and Swedish House Mafia, alongside Sofi Tukker, Purple Disco Machine, xandra, Will Sass, and Flat Stanley. Don Julio and CELSIUS Essential Vibes Tour (among others) will also be serving as festival sponsors, providing signature craft cocktails and luxury drink experiences!
