Each year as the temperatures begin their steady climb New Yorkers flock to Coney Island’s Luna Park to enjoy roller coasters, cotton candy, and all things fun, but usually they shut their doors shortly after their Halloween Harvest celebrations come to an end.
But this year they won’t be closing just because a frosty winter is approaching!
For the very first time in its storied history, Luna Park in Coney Island is extending the thrill of summer into the winter season with its new holiday celebration, Frost Fest!
After a successful 120th summer season, endless holiday magic will be sprinkled throughout Luna Park.
Visitors will be treated to a plethora of thrilling winter activities, such as Rudolph’s ice skating rink, rides and attractions, holiday lights and décor, photos with Santa, a holiday market, and festive food options.
And, since you made the nice list this year, you can already snag your tickets!
Frost Fest will kick off Saturday, November 18th and be open on select dates through January 7th, 2024. You can learn more on their website.
While we anticipate the opening of Frost Fest there’s other ways New Yorkers can get a head start on the holiday winter fun, such as by doing some shopping at the Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park and gliding across the ice at Central Park’s iconic Wollman Ice Rink.
