Free summer movies are a rite of passage for New Yorkers, and fortunately, there are plenty of great flicks on the summer 2025 lineup, From pop culture favorites to family-friendly selections.

Paramount+ Movie Nights at Bryant Park

The 2025 lineup has plenty to choose from, including 80s favorites, cult classics, and the mother of all films: The Godfather. The schedule is as follows:
- June 9th: Pretty in Pink
- June 16th: The Wood
- June 23rd: Kinky Boots
- June 30th Stand by Me
- July 7th Good Will Hunting
- July 14th: Interstellar
- July 21st: Ghost
- July 28th: Pulp Fiction
- August 4th: Blades of Glory
- August 11th: The Godfather
- August 18th: Interstellar (Newly added!)
Although the film typically begins around 8pm, the lawn will open at 5pm — and we’d highly recommend getting there early to secure a spot. Hester Street Fair will have a variety of vendors on-site with bites to purchase. (Of course, feel free to bring your own bites as well.)
Brooklyn Bridge Park: Movies with a View

As in years past, the movie screenings will return this summer on Thursday evenings at Pier 1, Harbor View Lawn. The area opens at 5pm on a first-come, first-serve basis and the movie kicks off at sunset.
Although the films are still TBD — we’ll have an update ready for you in June when the park reveals the lineup — the 2025 schedule is as follows:

Paramount+ Movie Nights in Brooklyn

Elizabeth Street Garden Movie Nights

News of the Elizabeth Street Garden Movie Nights is extra sweet this year. Now that the beloved Nolita green space has been saved from demolition, New Yorkers are free to enjoy the gorgeous grounds and complimentary activities — including free movie nights on Wednesdays at 8pm:

- July 9th: The Secret World of Arrietty
- July 23rd: Hairspray (1988)
- August 6th: Laura (1944)
- August 20th: The Royal Tenenbaums
The offering is on a first-come, first-serve basis and attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and popcorn for the festivities.
Domino Park

Intrepid Free Friday Movie Nights

Catching a flick amidst stunning aircraft, the Hudson River, and the NYC skyline is an experience for the books.
On select days beginning June 27th from 5-9pm, the Intrepid will offer Free Friday admission, which provides access to exclusive programming and the beloved movie series. To coincide with its new exhibit, “Mysteries From the Deep: Underwater Archaeology,” the museum will screen films dedicated to the ocean and her many mysteries.

The Oculus is treating New Yorkers to complimentary screenings in the afternoons and evenings this summer. You can bring your own picnic blanket or portable chairs, but seating is also available on a first-come, first-serve basis. RSVP is required.
