New York Film Festival 2025 details
From September 26th to October 13th, the New York Film Festival will host screenings, talks with industry experts, and digitally-remastered revivals — list TBA — to keep movie buffs of all genres intrigued. While a full schedule is still rolling out, trust us when we say there’s plenty to whet your appetite in the meantime.
NYFF lineup
This year’s lineup will spotlight Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, the Bruce Springsteen biopic starring The Bear lead Jeremy Allen White. Arguably the most anticipated release, the Scott Cooper directed film takes us back to the 80s and gets us inside the Jersey icon’s head while he created his beloved album, Nebraska.
“Getting to know Bruce, to explore his world and his spirit, has been one of the most profound creative experiences of my life,” director Scott Cooper told Variety. “To share that experience with New York audiences, in a city that defines artistic possibility, is both an honor and a responsibility I hold with deep gratitude.”
But there are plenty of other noteworthy additions to bookmark: Bradley Cooper’s latest directorial project Is This Thing On with Will Arnett and Laura Dern, spotlights a couple’s split and how it leads to an impromptu stand-up comedy career. Noah Baumbach’s latest, Jay Kelly, hones in on a movie star’s trouble world played by none other than George Clooney. And that’s just the start. Some of the other films include:
- After the Hunt
- Father Mother Sister Brother
- Is This Thing On?
- Gavagai
- Jay Kelly
- The Secret Agent
- Dracula
