One of America’s largest Italian fests is taking over NYC, beginning this week for an 11-day event known as The Feast of San Gennaro.
This year’s festivities will kick off on Thursday, September 11th and last through Sunday, September 21st, 2025.
The event has been an NYC tradition since 1926, transforming Little Italy into a hotspot for street food, carnival games, parades, music and more! To make space for all of the excitement, 15 streets in Lower Manhattan will be blocked off from car traffic.
Street closures for the 99th Annual Religious Feast of San Gennaro Festival
These streets will be closed off to traffic on Thursday, September 11th, 2025 for the 99th Annual Religious Feast of San Gennaro Festival:
- Mott Street between Canal Street and East Houston Street
- Mulberry Street between Canal Street and East Houston Street
- Baxter Street between Canal Street and Grand Street
- Centre Market Place between Grand Street and Broome Street
- Centre Street between Canal Street and Broome Street
- Cleveland Place between Broome Street and Spring Street
- Lafayette Street between Spring Street and East Houston Street
- Canal Street between Bowery and Centre Street
- Hester Street between Mott Street and Centre Street
- Grand Street between Elizabeth Street and Centre Street
- Broome Street between Mott Street and Centre Street/Cleveland Place
- Kenmare Street between Mott Street and Cleveland Place
- Spring Street between Mott Street and Cleveland Place/Lafayette Street
- Prince Street between Mott Street and Lafayette Street
- Jersey Street between Mulberry Street and Lafayette Street
Other restrictions or embargoes
According to NYC DOT, a Special Event Construction Embargo will be in effect from September 8th, 2025 to September 22nd, 2025. This means all construction must come to a halt in the affected area unless otherwise approved.
