Sure, SoHo already has a Little Italy, but during the first week of December it’s getting its very own Eataly!
News about a SoHo location first circulated earlier last year. And now, if you find yourself on the corner of Lafayette and Broome, you’ll catch a glimpse at the new signs in the window of the Soho Eataly at 200 Lafayette.
Currently, there are eight Eataly locations across the United States. The SoHo store will bring that number to nine locations nationwide. Two of the eight are already in NYC: one in Flatiron and the other at the World Trade Center. Both locations go beyond a typical restaurant experience, bringing customers events such as hands-on pasta classes and walk-around wine tastings.
“We are very proud to expand our presence in New York City with a third store and to open in such an incredible and iconic neighborhood as SoHo. North America is the focus for expansion over the next five years, and we are actively pursuing several initiatives throughout the territory, from increasing the floor space of our flagship store in the Flatiron district to actively seeking new locations in Manhattan and throughout the United States and Canada,” says Tommaso Brusò, CEO of Eataly North America.
NYC’s third Eataly will span a total of 20,000 square feet in SoHo. Shoppers will be able to peruse a wide selection of Italian and local products. Plus, it will have a restaurant and an all day café.
