Craving an adventure but not wanting to spend a ton of money? Well, you’re in luck! Amtrak’s midweek winter BOGO deal has returned to rescue you from your winter cabin fever.
From now through Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024, travelers can buy one full-fare coach ticket and get another entirely free for destinations across New York state. The tickets must be for either a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. You can redeem this two-for-one deal by entering code V309 when booking your trip.
“New York State has so much to offer as there’s an adventure waiting for you in every region and city whether you want to relax, explore, sightsee, taste or experience the bright lights,” said Amtrak Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Eliot Hamlisch. “Amtrak can take you there in comfort, and as a Central New York native who knows all about the beauty of the entire state, I look forward to seeing you onboard.”
The BOGO deal is accepted for rides on the Adirondack from New York City to Montreal, Canada and on the Ethan Allen Express to/from New York City and Burlington, Vt.

Passengers won’t need to cram into a middle seat and will have access to free WiFi and the ability to bring along their furry friend for an additional charge.
Amtrak ran a similar BOGO deal in past springs with a free train ticket when you purchased a roomette. However, the deal was only available for a limited time, so we’re more than excited for a similar arrangement to return!
