Pack your bags and request some time off work, because Eastwind Oliverea Valley, a Scandinavian-inspired boutique property in the Catskills, is calling your name–and with autumn foliage we’re all in desperate need of rest, relaxation, and pampering.
The third property from founders Bjorn Boyer, Julija Stoliarova, and Dan Cipriani, this 30-room lodge is nestled amidst 3,000-foot peaks and framed by lush trees of the Catskills, offering the perfect low-key, secluded, and restful escape from the bustling streets of NYC.
This otherworldly haven features wooden A-frame freestanding cabins as well as king-sized rooms and suites.
The A-frame cabins are available in four types–Lushna Cabins, Lushna Cabins with Decks, Lushna Suites, and Double Lushnas–and are all outfitted with queen beds.
Guests choosing to stay in the king-sized rooms can select from a variety of options with amenities such as floating netting under the skylight, rain showers, seating nooks, private patios, luxurious Pendleton robes, and electric kettles with tea and coffee kits perfect for an early morning pick-me-up.
All rooms, which highlight the natural surroundings with the use of earth tones and organic materials, offer calming sounds of Esopus Creek, which runs alongside the property, and feature sweeping views of the surrounding mountains.
When you’re ready to head out into the great outdoors, right outside your cabin you’ll find complimentary bikes to ride along a nature path, sunrise yoga, creative seasonal workshops, and the perfect landscape for to follow a hiking trail into the mountains.
And don’t miss your chance come late October when they hope to have their pool up and running. It will be heated and open year-round so you take a dip whatever season you visit.
The property features a refined food and beverage program, including an on-site restaurant and bar Dandelion where guests can enjoy a seasonal all-day menu and dinner service featuring a “forage-to-table” plant-forward food menu.
An all-day menu of seasonal cocktails and small plates are available daily, as well as breakfast baskets for in-room delivery (this was our personal favorite part of each day), s’mores kits for creating at the firepits, weather-permitting meals prepared on the open flame grill, and private dining with prix fixe menus under the canopy of trees.
Complete with a breathtaking atmosphere, sweeping mountain views, and the perfect amount of seclusion, this Scandinavian-inspired getaway is the ultimate hygge getaway–and is the perfect fall escape from NYC.
