It has been 2 and a half years since the final episode of How I Met Your Mother, and we still miss it. The comedy spoke to a generation of people in a way that no other sitcom had done before it. Here are 21 interesting facts about the show you probably didn’t know:

1. All of the scenes of Ted’s future children were filmed during the first two seasons to keep them the same age throughout the series. That includes a scene for the show’s eventual finale.

2. The clock in Marshall and Teds apartment is always set at 4:20.

3.  Neil Patrick Harris is a trained magician in real life.

4. Neil Patrick Harris’ husband, David Burtka, plays the character of Scooter in the show. Alyson Hannigan’s husband played Sandy Rivers, and Cobie Smulder’s husband played Blauman.

5.  Scott Foley (Scandal) turned down the role of Ted Mosby and Jennifer Love Hewitt (Ghost Whisperer)  turned down the role of Robin Scherbatsky
