Let the countdown to 2026 begin!
Now that Christmas is behind us and 2025’s final days have arrived, it’s time to turn our attention towards the next holiday: New Year’s Eve. Are your noisemakers ready?
Before you whisk the champagne flutes from the cabinets and cheers to a fresh start at midnight, why not catch New Year’s Eve fireworks in NYC?
Here’s where to catch the aerial displays as you bid adieu to 2025.
Psst: Should you be one of the brave souls venturing to Midtown, Manhattan, we have some record-breaking news: the Times Square New Year’s Eve ball will drop twice for the first time since the tradition began all the way back in 1907.
Prospect Park

For 45 years, Brooklyn’s playground has been hosting a free spectacle and community celebration on New Year’s Eve.
Venture to Prospect Park on December 31st for a grand display once the clock strikes midnight, but not before enjoying a free performance from local musicians, Quintessential Playlist, which kicks off at 10pm.
Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso promises this year’s display to be “a spectacularly bright and colorful show!”

Hop aboard a luxury yacht for a scene like none other this New Year’s Eve.
As those aboard set sail from Pier 36, they’ll enjoy the East River and NYC skyline illuminated as fireworks ring in 2026. Plus there will be food and drinks aboard.
Purchase tickets online. A similar experience takes off from the other side of the pond — Jersey City — at 9:30pm from Liberty Harbor Marina for $50. Get tickets online.
Lastly, an all-inclusive experience will set sail a bit earlier, at 8pm, from Pier 36 and give everyone something to talk about before the fireworks: a buffet dinner, drinks, a DJ, and more. Get your tickets online.
An earlier version of this article stated that New Year’s Eve fireworks were scheduled to take place at Brooklyn Bridge Park. After confirming that no fireworks were scheduled, we removed the reference. We regret any confusion this may have caused.
