As of 2016, an additional TKTS location (TKTS Lincoln Center) used to operate in the David Rubenstein Atrium at 61 West 62nd Street, but it had closed down in March of 2020.
However, to our delight, TDF, the non-for-profit that runs the TKTS booths, announced that it will reopen today, September 6th at 11 a.m.
Customers can purchase tickets up to 50% off for Broadway and Off-Broadway productions for same-day matinee/evening shows and next day matinees at the booth. Discounted tickets to Lincoln Center shows are also available for purchase.
“All of us at TDF are excited to reopen TKTS Lincoln Center so we can once again serve local residents and visitors eager to get the best prices and locations to Broadway, Off-Broadway and Lincoln Center performances,” said Michael Naumann, TDF’s Managing Director. “The demand for tickets has been growing at our Times Square location as folks return to the theatre, so we felt this was the right time to reopen our satellite booth.”
TDF started the TKTS discount booths with the intention to make performing arts accessible to a greater audience, and we personally can’t wait for more opportunities to get our hands on a good deal!
