Just in case you missed it — though we suspect you didn’t since the internet is unhinged — but Taylor Swift has announced a new album, The Life of Showgirl. Yes, folks, TS 12 is officially on the way.
The pop megastar, former Cornelia St resident, and Torrisi diner decided to give fans the good news while on her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s podcast, New Heights. And she decided to bring the love to Gotham by lighting the Empire State Building up in orange, the color of her new album. The NYC attraction took to Instagram with a photo and a playful caption: “Onto the next era”.
Are we surprised, especially to receive the news at 12:12pm on the 12th? Nope.
At this time, we do not have any information about the release date or its tracks, but rest assured the Swifties out there will scope out all of the important details. Devoted fans can even preorder the album on Taylor’s website and they’ll receive their copy before mid-October. (However, the site insists the release date is still TBA.)
Fans can expect the New Heights episode to drop in full on Wednesday, August 13th. As we’re given sneak peeks of what’s ahead, we’ll be sure to fill you in. We have a feeling Tay’s not done with big reveals quite yet.
