Spider-Man just received his own official street sign in his beloved hometown of Forest Hills, Queens.
‘Spider-Man Way‘ was officially unveiled on October 12 at the intersection of Ingram Street and Ascan Avenue.
This specific location is a massive nod to deep Marvel history. The sign sits just steps from 20 Ingram Street, which a 1989 comic book identified as Peter Parker’s family home.
A community celebration

Dozens of fans dressed as the web-slinger gathered to celebrate the new co-naming legislation. The new city law honors the intersection while allowing Ingram Street to keep its original name.
Local officials praised the iconic character as a relatable kid from Queens who consistently shows up for his community.
The ultimate local photo op
Mark Ditko, nephew of Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko, attended the event. He honored his uncle’s vision of a regular hero from a regular neighborhood.
Marvel fans now have a permanent Forest Hills pilgrimage site to snap the perfect photo.
