Born in a two-bedroom Atlanta apartment back in 2018, Slutty Vegan made its cheeky debut appearance in Brooklyn in September of last year, accumulating a crowd that filled an entire block in Fort Greene (some people on line had even brought chairs to sit in while they waited…CHAIRS!!!)
Nearly six months later the vegan burger joint is still garnering lines down the block…so we’re happy to share the news that they’ve officially expanded!
Celebrating a grand opening last Tuesday, March 7, the restaurant is serving all their mouthwateringly iconic vegan burgers, sandwiches, and more for takeout and delivery.
And, in typical Slutty Vegan fashion, the names are racier than ever.
From the One Night Stand, a burger loaded with vegan bacon, vegan cheese, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, and Slut Sauce on a vegan Hawaiian bun (yes, Slut Sauce) to the Hollywood Hooker, a vegan chopped Philly with jalapeños, bell peppers and caramelized onions, vegan provolone, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, and vegan mayo on a hoagie roll, all the fan-favorites are on the menu.
Their Heaux Boy even has vegan shrimp tossed in a New Orleans style batter, along with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and Slut Sauce on a vegan Hawaiian bun.
They also opened a catering hub that will service Bed-Stuy, Fort Greene, Canarsie, Williamsburg, Flatbush, and Crown Heights. Customers can order deliveries from the virtual kitchen via DoorDash, Fooda, TripleSeat, Grubhub, UberEats, and EatOkra.
If you’re not fully convinced that Slutty Vegan is worth a try, take it from their “sluttified fans,” including celebrities along the likes of Snoop Dogg, Jermaine Dupri, Taraji P. Henson, Tyler Perry, Queen Latifah, and many more who all can’t get enough of these dirty dishes.
“This is a full circle moment for me,” says owner Pinky Cole. “I had a restaurant a few blocks away that was destroyed in a grease fire. To come back to the place that helped me get started is such a big deal for the realization of my dream, and this, quite frankly, is my redemption story!”
Slutty Vegan’s new outpost is the brand’s ninth brick-and-mortar. See the full menu on the website here.
