You’ll never make fun of airplane food again when you fly Delta, as first-class passengers will be served Shake Shack burgers sky-high!
The news comes just shortly after United Airlines began serving another NYC-classic, Magnolia Bakery, onboard select flights nationwide.
Delta x Shake Shack partnership expansion
The first-of-its-kind onboard partnership between Delta and Shake Shack first launched on Boston flights last December, and they just announced a major expansion on routes over 900 miles out of New York’s LGA (which was just named one of the cheapest U.S. airports to fly from), Los Angeles, Seattle and Atlanta that began on March 4th, 2025.
Delta has already served more than 10,000 Shake Shack burgers out of Boston since its launch, and customers are apparently raving about it, shared Stephanie Laster, Managing Director of Onboard Service. “This is part of our work to partner with brands our customers already know and love while continuing to raise the bar for the in-flight experience – whether that’s making your favorite cheeseburger available at 35,000 feet, or ensuring you have a variety of fresh meals to choose from that fuel you on your adventure,” she added.
Who gets Shake Shack onboard?
Customers on Delta flights over 900 miles out of New York (LGA), Boston, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Seattle in first-class can select a Shake Shack burger as their lunch or dinner entree prior to boarding. The Shake Shack Cheeseburger includes a 100% Angus beef patty that’s smothered in cheese on a toasted potato bun. Customers can customize their order by adding lettuce, tomato, or Shake Shack’s signature ShackSauce. Each meal comes with chips and a brownie.
