Magnolia Bakery can’t help but make headlines after relaunching a line of edibles with incredibles, and now, partnering with United Airlines to serve its world-famous banana pudding onboard flights.
However, the beloved treat won’t be served to economy passengers, but reserved for United First passengers on flights more than 901 miles. Magnolia Bakery’s banana pudding is typically served in 8oz cups, but passengers on United will receive a 3oz cup of the new frozen-to-thaw Banana Pudding Wafer Cookie Bits.
“As an avid traveler and baker, I know what an important role food can play in your travels, which is why I’m so excited to bring this new, innovative product to thousands of adventurers each year,” said Bobbie Lloyd, CEO and Chief Baking Officer, Magnolia Bakery. “This is a first-of-its-kind collaboration for Magnolia Bakery and we could not be more thrilled to be working with United. Our team worked for three years to develop this new Banana Pudding and we’re delighted for guests to get a sweet taste of this beloved dessert in the skies.”
The magic to Magnolia Bakery’s new frozen-to-thaw banana pudding is that the recipe, which uses real bananas, ensures they don’t melt when they thaw.
“The only thing more iconic than Magnolia Bakery’s Banana Pudding is enjoying that pudding at 30,000 feet in United First – we know our customers are going to love it,” said Aaron McMillan, United’s Managing Director of Hospitality Programs. “We’re changing the way travelers eat and drink onboard, offering more variety and more elevated options with partners like Magnolia.”
And if you’re not planning on flying any time soon, you can find the frozen-to-thaw 14oz cups of banana pudding in Wafer Cookie Bits, Chocolatey Hazelnut Swirl and Red Velvet Cookie Bits on DoorDash, GoPuff, AmazonFresh and more.
