Every year, thousands of NYers and tourists are drawn to the city, more specifically the Rockerfeller center, to feel the magic and wonder of the lighting ceremony (and lest we forget, a little ice skating). It is without doubt one of the highlights of December in the city.
The lineup for the 2016 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony was announced last weekend, and SecretNYC is here to give you the lowdown. You can expect performances from Neil Diamond, Sarah McLachlan, Tori Kelly and the Radio City Rockettes, as well as hosts Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and Hoda Kotb.
Don’t think that it all ends there, Brooks & Trisha Yearwood, Dolly Parton, former Lady Gaga-captive Tony Bennett, Josh Groban and Jordan Smith will also be at the tree lighting ceremony.
Christmas in Rockefeller Center will air from 7pm-9pm on November 30, and the festive lights on the 94-foot-tall tree will be turned on at 8:55pm.
