Calling all meat lovers! Especially pork…
For the 11th year in a row, NYC’s epic “Pig Island” barbecue is back on September 12. Get ready to go hog wild with pork recipes from over 20 of the best NY chefs, plus unlimited craft beer, artisan spirits, and ciders!
Pig Island is an incredible BBQ event that has become a beloved annual tradition in NYC, and this year it’s returning in the form of a socially distant picnic. Meat dishes — which range from succulent ribs to pulled pork with the top BBQ sauces to tangy carnitas tacos — are not only mouth-wateringly delicious, but they have also been sourced with the planet in mind. So, you’ll not enjoying amazing recipes by world-class chefs, and also supporting small and sustainable farms that know a thing or three about good meat.
All-inclusive tickets include:
- A selection of foods by barbecue all-stars like Tank Jackson of Charleston’s Holy City Hogs, Trevor Kunk of The Little Beet, Mario Chape of Big Papa Smokem, and more!
- Beer from Staten Island’s Flagship Brewery, cider, and spirits
- Butchering & cooking dems featuring farmers, star chefs and culinary experts
- Plus live music & other fun!
This year, the event is taking place in a much more spacious location: the Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden on Staten Island. There will also be limited capacity, plenty of hand sanitizer, and you can even bring your own picnic blanket so you can spread out with your friends.
Plus, even if you are not a carnivore, you can still pig out! Several vegetarian-friendly side stations will be offering plenty of other food.
