Back for its 13th year in a row, NYC’s epic “Pig Island” barbecue is making its return this weekend, on Saturday, September 10 to Snug Harbor Cultural Center in Staten Island. Get ready to go hog wild with pork recipes from over 20 of the best NY chefs, plus unlimited craft beer, artisan spirits, and ciders!
Pig Island is an incredible BBQ event that has become a beloved annual tradition in NYC at an 83-acre outdoor venue. Meat dishes–which range from succulent ribs to pulled pork to tangy carnitas tacos–are not only mouth-wateringly delicious, but they have also been sourced with the planet in mind. So, not only will you be enjoying amazing recipes by world-class chefs, you’ll also be supporting small and sustainable farms that know a thing or two about good meat.
All-inclusive tickets can be purchased here, and include:
- Food from 20+ chefs serving a variety of dishes
- Beer from Six Point, Killsboro and Flagship
- Laphroiag, Maker’s Mark and Jim Beam spirits
- Additional RGNY wine and NY state spirits
- Plus live music & other fun!
Plus, even if you are not a carnivore, you can still pig out! Several vegetarian and vegan-friendly side stations will be offering plenty of other food, such as NYC’s first ever fast-casual vegan barbecue restaurant Pure Grit BBQ!
A better food festival will come…when pigs fly, so don’t miss out!
