NYC’s go-to holiday attraction is about to become the ultimate summer retreat.
Meet Pebble Bar at the Rink, a.k.a. Rockefeller Center’s new warm-weather hangout. The bar and lounge will be stationed in the ice rink’s place, beneath the iconic Prometheus statue. Instead of a wintertime activity, the Midtown locale will mimic courtyards and piazzas of European cities and beckon visitors for a spritz and a game or two. We’ll cheers to that!
All about Pebble Bar at the Rink
Gachot Studios, who designed the four-floor Pebble Bar townhouse, will do the honors of reimagining the space. Considering interior design biz is a member of both AD 100 and Elle Decor A-List, we trust that the environment will be unmatched.
As far as a drink selection goes, you’ll be able to find whatever you’re looking for: spritzes, frozen concoctions, and beyond. There will be sips from New York breweries and a global wine list to entice visitors stopping by. Of course, an outdoor lounge would be incomplete without a few bites. Jupiter will be on-hand with a few tasty selections, including arancini with fontina + black pepper, Pierini Paninos with gruyere + ham, and pizza bianco with ricotto, prosciutto, and figs. Don’t mind if we do!
In between sips and bites, make sure to bring along some friendly competition, as lawn games will be stationed amongst the 125 bar seats and lounges. Might as well work up an appetite before your appetizers hit the table, right?
The space will be “summerized” beginning May 27th, just after Memorial Day. Reservations will be available two weeks prior to the opening, but walk-ins are, of course, welcomed, too. We envision this to be a fun after-work get-together when the warm weather strikes.
