It’s safe to say that New York is still defrosting from yesterday’s historic blizzard, and so are all of its inhabitants.
But if you’re thinking about ceremoniously retiring your snow shovel to the back of the closet, you may want to keep it on standby—because Mother Nature clearly did not hear the bell.
We know, we know, and we’re sorry to be the bearer of this frosty news, but there are not one, not two, but three possible snow-makers lining up for the Northeast over the next 7 days.
❄️ Tuesday Night Flurries
First up: according to reports by StormTeam4, round two might just be coming our way Tuesday night, with another 1–3 inches expected across the NYC area.

It’s not blockbuster territory, but it’s enough to re-cover the sidewalks you just cleared — and make us all think that Punxsutawney Phil unfortunately knew exactly what he was talking about. Or rather, seeing about.
Higher totals are most likely inland, around the Hudson Valley and inland Connecticut—while the city will see milder conditions, but still enough to possibly impact the morning commutes.
The National Weather Service States:A chance of snow between 1am and 4am, then rain and snow likely. Increasing clouds, with a temperature falling to near 24 by 9pm, then rising to around 33 during the remainder of the night. Wind chill values between 15 and 20. Light and variable wind becoming south 6 to 11 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
By Wednesday morning, we’re looking at a light snow-to-rain situation that could make for a slightly slushy, mildly dramatic commute. Nothing apocalyptic, just enough to require an extra coffee and a touch of patience. The good news? Precipitation should wrap up by noon Wednesday, giving everyone a chance to regroup.

🌨️ Thursday’s Encore
Another system is possible Thursday into Thursday night. Right now it’s shaping up to be on the lighter side, with snow or a wintry mix more likely inland once again. Though mild, it’s worth keeping an eye on if you’re north or west of the city.
The National Weather Service States:A slight chance of snow before 1pm, then a chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a steady temperature around 36. West wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light and variable. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
☃️ Looking Ahead To Next Week
Reports by the National Weather Service state that we should also be looking out for yet another round of snow on Monday. A 30 percent chance of snow is reported, with partly sunny skies and a high near 31 degrees.
The silver lining (yes, there is one): sunshine and milder temperatures are expected as we head into this weekend. By Saturday and especially through Sunday, we should finally see some meaningful melting, just in time for Monday’s flakes, of course.
All of this comes on the heels of Blizzard 2026, which wasted absolutely no time cementing its place in the record books.
Central Park clocked in at 19.7 inches, making it the ninth-biggest snowfall on record. Islip led the tri-state area with a staggering 31 inches, while East Islip and Patchogue each hit 30 inches. Holbrook and Babylon weren’t far behind at 29-plus inches.
Parts of Staten Island saw over two feet, while Lyndhurst reported 30.7 inches and Carlstadt hovered around 30. Even Newark Liberty International Airport measured an impressive 27.2 inches.

So yes, the city is still digging out. And yes, more flakes are on the way. But hang in there—we’ll be seeing spring before we know it. Until then, maybe keep that shovel where you can see it. Just in case.
