The annual and patriotic July 4th holiday returns this Friday, and that also means the return of the world-famous Macy’s July 4th Fireworks!
The grand spectacle is set to kick off over NYC’s East River around 8 pm on Friday, and New Yorkers are already starting to scope out the best viewing spots to see this year’s fireworks.
And whether you get lucky with one of the 100,000 free tickets being distributed by Macy’s to their special viewing zones, or you’re posting up in your own spot, it’s important to keep in mind what roads may be closed for the festivities.
This year’s Macy’s Fireworks viewing zones will be around both Brooklyn Bridge Park and Piers 16 & 17 in Manhattan, so keep that in mind.
Otherwise, take a look at all the nearby streets in those areas that are set to be closed on Friday (and possibly during the weekend) so you can plan ahead.
