Ready the barbecue and beach towels: the 4th of July is upon us, and the Macy’s fireworks show will dazzle New Yorkers with a spectacular display on the East River.
Although the July extravaganza is free, NYC is giving 100,000 spectators a chance to gain front-row access to the festivities — a.k.a. the best fireworks viewing spots around.
If unobstructed views and an unforgettable experience are on your summer bucket list, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about nabbing free tickets.
Macy’s 4th Of July Fireworks 2025: how to get VIP tickets
On Tuesday, July 1st beginning at 8:30am, tickets are available online on a first-come, first-serve basis. Make sure to set your alarms, folks.
New Yorkers will be able to secure viewing areas in Brooklyn Bridge Park or designated sections of Pier 16 and Pier 17 at The Seaport.
Should you feel the day wait is too long, you’re in luck: you can text “FIREWORKS” directly to Mayor Adams at 917-909-2288 right now and the first 2,500 people will earn four free tickets ahead of schedule to viewing locales in Brooklyn Bridge Park.
“Every New Yorker deserves a chance to celebrate under the sparkle of the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks, and this year, 100,000 lucky residents will have front-row access to one of the city’s most iconic events as our city celebrates its 400th anniversary this year and we get ready to celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary next year,” NYC Mayor Eric Adams said in a statement.
