In exactly one month, the world famous Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks will once again illuminate the NYC sky on Independence Day.
The incredible fireworks display will return back to the East River, launching from the iconic Brooklyn Bridge and four surrounding barges in the river along the Seaport District.

This year’s return to the East side comes after the show made the decision to relocate the pyrotechnic display to the West side’s Hudson River in 2024.
Celebrating its 49th anniversary this year, the Macy’s Fireworks will once again produce the nation’s largest display — full of light, sound and color, and synced to an original curated musical score.
“The Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks show is one of New York City’s most iconic traditions, drawing millions from across our city, the country, and the globe to witness a world-class celebration of America’s birthday right here in the heart of the Big Apple,” said Mayor Eric Adams.

“Each year, this dazzling display lights up our skyline, boosts our economy, and brings vital support to local businesses. As we celebrate 400 years since New York City’s founding, we’re thrilled to welcome the crowds, once again, to experience an unforgettable Independence Day at our world-famous Brooklyn Bridge and East River skyline!”
Public viewing spots will be available to watch the show along the East River this year, with more details to be announced in the coming weeks.
This usually comes in the form of a City sponsored lottery for free public viewing tickets in areas with unobstructed views.
This year’s show will begin on July 4th night at 8 pm, according to Macy’s. And if you’re unable to watch it live it will be livestreamed on NBC 4 and Peacock.
